7th Annual Grade School Wrestling STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Ohio Athletic Committee (OAC) is proud to be hosting the 7th Annual Grade School Wrestling State Championships. Wrestlers attending Ohio Grade Schools can compete for the chance to become a Grade School Wrestling State Champion! Here are the details:
Steubenville District Tournament: Sunday, February 14th, 2010 (Entry closes 2-12-10) Steubenville High School, 420 North 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952 Top (4) Wrestlers in each weight class qualify for the State Tournament.
State Tournament: Marion Veterans Memorial Coliseum 220 East Fairground Street Marion OH 43302 3/13/10, 3/14/10

Proof of Age: Must bring copy of birth certificate to the District weigh-in.

Registration: All registrations MUST BE DONE ONLINE at
http://www.ohioathletics.com There will be NO
registrations at Steubenville High School. Online registration deadline is
2/12/2010. No registrations will be accepted after that date. We
recommend you register early as weight classes may fill up and be closed. You
MUST wrestle the weight you are registered for. No weight class
changes at weigh-in for District or State. Districts = Scratch weight (90lbs. =
90lbs or less). There will be a 2-pound growth allowance for the state
tournament weigh-in on 3/13 (90lbs = 92lbs or less). You must be on time for
the weigh ins. There will be no exceptions.

Entry Fee (Wrestler):
$30.00, which must be paid at time of registration on the website.

Admission:
$5 admission for ALL spectators. (Under 3 are free)
·
Coach’s Wrist Bands:
Any person, who wishes to be the coach in the corner, shoot video or take
pictures from the coaches’ chairs, MUST purchase a coach’s
wristband for $5…No Exceptions.

Weigh-Ins:
Saturday Feb 13, 2010 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.-or-
Sunday, Feb 15, 2009 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. All weigh Ins are
at Steubenville High school. All wrestlers must weigh In in a singlet or shorts
and a T-shirt NO EXCEPTIONS. (wrestling at 10:00AM) Weight Classes: Match Rules: We will follow National Federation rules. District and State Tournaments are Double Elimination Events. Doctor’s skin note needed if questioned. All participants must wear headgears. Championship matches: 3-1½ minute periods; Consolation matches: 3-1 minute periods.

The Ohio Athletic Committee (OAC) is proud to be hosting the 11th Annual, Jr. High School Wrestling State Championships. Wrestlers attending Ohio Jr. High Schools can compete for the chance to become a Jr. High School Wrestling State Champion! Here are the details:
Steubenville District Tournament: Sunday, February 21st, 2010 (Entry closes 2-18-10) Steubenville High School, 420 North 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952 Top (6) Wrestlers in each weight class qualify for the State Tournament.
State Tournament: Marion Veterans Memorial Coliseum 220 East Fairground Street Marion OH 43302 3/20/10, 3/21/10
· Eligibility: 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Ohio students only (athletes must be enrolled and attending an Ohio School and born AFTER August 1, 1994.
