Anthony Duffield East Liverpool was my number one choice from the start and prove why with a Technical Fall in the OVAC finals, and a 5th place finish in the State Wrestling Tournament. Mike Lehotay Meadowbrook was my number 2 choice at the beginning of the season but slipped a spot to the tough Clark. Mike had a great OVAC tournament finding himself in the finals. Chaz Clark Union Local is a very rough wrestler, but seems to lose a little at the OVAC Tournament each year. I don't see this happing next year though! Chaz did rebound nicely with a trip to the State Tournament.  Stephen Jewell Wheeling Park slipped a little under my radar which is easy considering the other Park wrestlers near his weight. I will not let this happen next year. Jewell lost his Semi Final match to Duffield 3-2! Then finished the season with a 4th place finish at the State Tournament. He also his excellent workout partners in the wrestling room to help him. Bobby Morris Steubenville Catholic Central is another wrestler that has a tough time at the OVAC Tournament, but again qualified for the State Tournament. Jeff Trigg Shadyside, Ryan Stephen Barnesville, and Jon Ray Cambridge will again contest for placement next year, depending on their weight.

Welcome to OVAeC Wrestling!

(Ohio Valley Athletic ex Coach) The purpose of this web site is to promote O.V.A.C. wrestling and the individuals that make it all possible. I don't proclaim to know everything about the
O.V.A.C.'s or wrestling, but I have coached in the O.V.A.C.'s for the past 8 years so I do have some knowledge of the sport, coaches and the wrestlers(2002).
