Clay Tucker Martins Ferry was a no brainer in this weightclass. He captured his Fourth OVAC Title in as many years! He was one of the most dominate wrestlers in the OVAC history, and maybe in the State. He did have an illness that stopped him form a State Title. Clay then went on to reach the finals of the grueling High Nationals losing to the Brother of famous Cale Sanderson by a point. Shawn Dunn Beaver Local had the task of facing Tucker in the finals, but did rebound nicely with a trip to Columbus. Jesse Mahan Oak Glen a wrestler with a physical style recorded his third placement at the OVAC's in as many years. Jesse did go on to capture the 140 pound title at the State Tournament.  Justin Smithberger Monroe Central finished his senior year with a fourth place finish. Seth Skrypek John Marshal not seeded finished fifth and should build on that finish next season.  Matt Conklin Wheeling Park is a wrestler to watch next year and could be a key wrestler for Park's title hopes. Nick Perko Bellaire is one of many young Big Reds that return next year to an improved Bellaire team. Keep in eye on Kayne Melko St. John, and Tyler Prokopakis Edison.

Welcome to OVAeC Wrestling!

(Ohio Valley Athletic ex Coach) The purpose of this web site is to promote O.V.A.C. wrestling and the individuals that make it all possible. I don't proclaim to know everything about the
O.V.A.C.'s or wrestling, but I have coached in the O.V.A.C.'s for the past 8 years so I do have some knowledge of the sport, coaches and the wrestlers(2002).
