Cardinal Invitational

WORTHINGTON, Ohio — Joel Paolo led the individual charge as the Oak Glen wrestling team wrapped up the 2007 Cardinal Invitational in Worthington, Ohio with a second place finish.

Paolo, a freshman, won the 125 pound weight class in the eight-team pool tournament near Columbus.

Oak Glen’s 207 team points was second to Reynoldsburg’s 338. A year ago, the Bears won and Reynoldsburg finished second.

Troy Eckleberry (112), Zack Six (145), Cody Miller (152) and Nick McAvoy (130) were second place finishers.

Ryan Asbury (103), Paden Potts (135), T.J. Osbon (171) and Jimmy Boyd (285) took third.

Mount Vernon finished third behind Oak Glen with 177.5 points
