The 215 pound weight class has been dominated in the Ohio Valley by Adam Hoppel Beaver Local. That being said the number one choice was an easy one. Hoppel already looks bigger for next year, and ready to defend his 3 OVAC titles come January! His biggest challenge came from next door neighbor Josh Stansbury East Liverpool. Stansbury an accomplished wrestler himself with a 6 place finish at states the year before. Codey Leach Shenandoah was powerful in this weight class, minus the top to wrestlers, I expect big things from next year. Chris Frankhauser Edison was a bright spot on Edison's team this year. Whitehill Oak Glen, Huffman Harrison Central, and Rosen River all had very respective senior years. Brad Hannahs Barnesville showed he can place at the big tournament and should be in the top 3 next year. Their should be a good group of juniors next year also.

Also in this weight class you had 7 State Qualifiers, and 2 of those were State Placers: Codey Leach, Sarahsville Shenandoah; Josh Stansbury, East Liverpool; Adam Hoppel, Lisbon Beaver; Bill Whitehill, Oak Glen; Mike Gessler, Tyler Consolidated; Devin Dulaney, Brooke; Bud Hercules, Wheeling Park.
